Poeler history experiences - the home
Inselmuseum Poel
In the former school, the island Poel in Kirchdorf is today the home museum. This building was constructed in the year 1806 and tells this building from the history of the inhabitants of the island Poel.
With a lot of love the friends and operators of the home museum took find pieces, one handed down and memories onto the interesting history of the island together. Exhibits are found from the aurochs and morning history of Poel, because already before many 1000 years it pulled people onto this marvellous island. A part of the exhibition is dedicated to the occupation through the Swedish kingdom which in between 1648 and 1903 their tracks left behind on Poel.
Many pieces deal also with the fauna and flora of the island Poel. A field in the home museum deals with the geography and geology of Poel.
