In the west of the island Poel at the whitebait shortly in front of ferry boat village the small village Malchow lies. Before the German settlement in the 12th century Malchow was a Slavic place. In the year 1933 a stone circle which appertained to an iron-chronological grave installation was laid by archeologists open on the Malchower field mark. In Malchow there was jahrhunderte long not a lot up to some farmer places. In the 19th century the quiet existence ends from Malchow. The Poeler farmer son Hans Lembke founds in 1897 in Malchow a sowing breeding company. In the year 1925 Hans Lembke becomes the Dr. phil. h for his Verdienste around the agriculture. c. appointed to the Rostock university. This company is expropriated after 1945 of the communists. In 1946 Hans Lembke is called as a professor onto the agricultural department of the Rostock university. In the year 1992 the grandsons of the sowing breeding company founder Hans Lembke buy back the headquarters in Malchow. Today this company is worldwide known for his successes in the sowing breeding. In the year 2002 Peter Lueth receives the German environmental price for the development of biological plant-protective agents with his Malchower company "Prophyta". |
